Quoting or Paraphrasing Sources

You must cite your source any time you quote directly or paraphrase an idea from that source. Use an in-text citation to identify the source, and be sure to include a full citation in your References list. 

The format for APA in-text citations is the author’s last name, publication year, and page number (if available). For example (Davis, 2022, p. 54) or, for multiple pages (Davis, 2022, pp. 54–56).
